This Candles for a Cause fundraiser is one that’s very close to my heart.

Meet Russian Assassin – better known as Buster.

I was lucky enough to have shares in Buster during his racing career and, since his retirement from the track, I’ve continued to follow his journey and watch him thrive in a completely different world.

Today, Buster has a wonderful life with Maddy Nickson. He’s found his second career in eventing, while also spending time helping children learn to ride through Pony Club.

Now Maddy and Buster are preparing to take on Equimillion 2026, and we’d love to help them get there!

Each candle is hand poured by Wick’d Candles as part of our Candles for a Cause initiative.

$15 from every candle goes directly towards Maddy & Buster with their Equimillion journey.

For me, this fundraiser is also about celebrating what can happen after the racetrack.

Buster’s story is a beautiful example of a retired racehorse finding a new purpose – from racing, to eventing, to helping children learn to ride.

And now, he’s off on another adventure.
